Alexandra Stréliski won the prestigious Félix for “Breakthrough Artist of the Year“, a first for an instrumental composer and “Songwriter or Composer of the Year” at the Gala de l’ADISQ Sunday night. The pianist is only the third woman to win “Author or Composer of the Year” in 41 years. She also won “Album of the Year – Instrumental” at the ADISQ Premier Gala last Wednesday. With three trophies, Stréliski is one of the most awarded artists this year.

Jesse Mac Cormack won a Félix in the “Anglophone Album of the Year” category for his most recent record Now. He was also nominated for “Arrangements of the Year” for his album alonside Gabriel Desjardins.
