Speaking about the song, Bibi Club explains:  “J'arrive à la ville is a song by Lhasa De Sela. We rearranged it and first performed it during a tribute concert to Lhasa. Since then, it has stayed with us, becoming something of an anthem for welcoming others. The lyrics are written from the perspective of someone arriving in a new city—a tribute to the songwriter's great-grandfather, who left Lebanon to settle in Marseille. Around the world, hostility toward immigrants continues to grow, and here in Quebec, political parties are openly spreading racist rhetoric and false narratives about newcomers.  We stand in solidarity with those who make the difficult decision to leave their homeland and rebuild their lives elsewhere. We have so much to learn from one another, and so much to build together.”
