About the creative vision for his EP Baignade au centre du fleuve, Antoine Corriveau explains "Last winter, I wrote several songs in a very minimalist spirit, exploring new melodic directions. I wanted to record them quickly, in a setting similar to the sessions for my Feu de forêt EP. I wrote 'Soleil' in the middle of January, spending seven hours at my dining room table searching for the words, chords, and melody. It had been years since I'd written a song like that. It felt simple, and my fingers hurt by the end of the day. I didn't know whether 'Soleil' was a person or a thing. I think it's a bit of both."
